American Records Management now a member of the Cornerstone Records Family.
Columbia, MD – December 1, 2011 – Cornerstone Records Management, LLC announced today that it
has completed the acquisition of the assets of Excel Archives, headquartered in Sterling, VA and American
Records Management, located in the Buffalo, NY metro area. Excel Archives is one of the largest, full service
independent records management companies in the Baltimore/Washington, DC/Northern Virginia corridor.
American Records Management has previously been named one of the fastest growing companies in Western
New York by Business First Publications and provides secure hard copy storage to customers.
“Cornerstone is excited to announce that we are expanding our scope in the Baltimore/Washington, DC/
Northern Virginia and Upstate New York areas. Due to the success of our current operations in Baltimore and
Rochester, it made sense for us to increase our presence in these markets. These new locations will be merged
with Cornerstone’s existing operations and will allow us to improve customer service and gain operational
efficiencies. Furthermore, these new facilities give us the growth capacity needed for our expanding business,”
said Steven Sisney, President and CEO of Cornerstone.
“Cornerstone is now operating in many of the largest markets in the United States, including New York,
Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Houston and Baltimore/Washington, DC,” added Sisney. “We look forward to
continuing to provide best-in-class records information management to current and future customers in these
strategic markets and our continuing to evaluate opportunities to enter other strategic markets.”
The acquisitions of Excel Archives and American Records Management represent the twentieth and twenty-first
acquisitions completed by Cornerstone since June 2008, and reflects Cornerstone’s philosophy of growing both
organically and through acquisition.
